Sunisa Lee, though of Hmong descent, represents the growing diversity within gymnastics and won the all-around gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Nia Dennis gained widespread attention for her floor routines celebrating Black culture, earning praise for her creativity and excellence.
